I unashamedly am one of those people who love checking out the latest art installments and themed-museums to take as many fun and aesthetic pictures as possible - along with the friendliest staff and just an overall good experience, I'd say Museum of Ice Cream is the perfect place for this!

Every exhibit is well-planned, and has a lot of enthusiastic and passionate staff members along the way (everyone even has ice cream-themed nicknames - super cute). You get generous ice cream samples (seriously, they give you a ton of ice cream), and the experience never feels overcrowded. I love that they let you go at your own pace! This is a great place to come with friends, especially kids. Even though it seems like the museum is geared toward children, I saw older couples and a variety of people.

The famed Sprinkle Pool can get a bit crowded and the sprinkles hurt a bit to walk on, but definitely worth diving in (literally). Also, as of October 2019, there's no time limit on the Sprinkle Pool! Yes, the exhibits can go by fast, so take your time. By the end of it, my friend and I realized we had spent 2 hours there - make the most of it and enjoy. :)

Shoutout to Java Chip Jaavon for allowing us this experience! Definitely check out Museum of Ice Cream - it's worth the hype.

We arrived with our 2 year old for the 10:00 ticket time today to find your museum was not open. We were told to purchase tickets  ahead of time to reserve a time, just to find a closed a museum for the time we had purchased tickets? We left with a crying, very disappointed 2-year old. You can imagine how frustrating this was.

We also have found it difficult to get on touch to get a refund. Is this place a scam?

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!

I knew this was going to be a sensory overload with swirly pink walls and rainbow unicorns.  What I didn't know was there was real ice cream to be licked and real candy to be eaten in each section of this event.  Smart thinking.  Load us up with sugar, so, we can remember all the sweet memories in this giant pink-tas-tic instagrammable playhouse!

The staff was amazingly sweet inside and out.  They encouraged us to just go have fun and they were awesome part-time photographers.  Each room had a different flava flav of activities.  My favorite was the pool of sprinkles where you can create your own sprinkle splash zones.  A splish, a splash!

At the end of the ~1 hour event, you end up at the gift shop and cafe where you can load up on more ice cream and buy sweet knick-knacks!  I bought a cute MOIC magnet for my fridge.

Hats off and a bow down to JavaChip, who personally invited me to MOIC to experience this eye candy of an ice cream event.  I'll be sure to recco this place for all my friends and family that are looking for something fun to do.

    Luv,
    Dan Tat (aka Egg Tart)

NOTES:  The ice cream was actually good, not that cheap Safeway brand stuff.  Barbie need to make a star appearance to this place, its soo soo her color.  Hint hint... idea for a future theme...collabs are all the rage these days!  Take public transportation, otherwise, parking will cost you as much as the tickets to get inside this museum.

I could easily say that this museum was one of the highlights to our day trip into the city! WOW! You'll definitely not find something like this anywhere else.

I found this place on a whim through Yelp, but have also seen it advertised on Facebook and it immediately caught my eye. I would consider this place more of an "Instagram photo op walkthrough" rather than a museum, but I am totally okay with that since there were so many cool things to see. We came in October, so everything was Halloween-themed. This place seems to be permanent, but had the same feel to a pop up.

It is pricey at $35 and it only takes about 40ish minutes to get through it, so I would highly advise for you to take your time with everything. Throughout the museum, you will get multiple treats! There is an ice cream shop at the end, however we were too full from everything else to get anything!

Of course, the best part is at the very end, which is their infamous sprinkle pool. And it was really, really fun! You can hang out in there as long as you'd like, and even take the slide down into the pool!

I'd say this is one of those places that are worth the extra money. It'd be even better if they expand it in the future!

    So cute!!!

I came right on time for their special spooky Halloween edition, which will last until Nov 4th.

This place is located in the heart of downtown SF so I highly recommend riding Bart, the station is literally around the corner.

You can either take the stairs down or the slide. TAKE THE SLIDE! It's so fun!

The process is easy. Interactive rooms that have games and photo worthy decorations. Make sure you read everything as some rooms have treats you can take as well as the people offering more treats when you play a game.

The grand finale at the end is the sprinkles pool.
